Before coming to Dr. Bixby, I had so much pain in my jaw that I was always trying to stretch it to relieve the pain, but nothing worked. Also, I had terrible neck and back pain that affected my quality of life. I was constantly getting massages and going to the Chiropractor to relieve the muscle tension. I was literally always in pain from TMJ and couldn’t fully enjoy my life.

Since coming to Dr. Bixby, my jaw pain has completely gone away!! I used to always feel my jaw, now I don’t even notice it is there (which is a good thing!). Also my neck and head pain have shrunk to a point of a minimal annoyance that an occasional chiropractic visit or massage will appease. Dr. Bixby helped me with my bite, when I came to him from Princeton. I could not open my mouth; my jaw would lock while eating and would take about 20 minutes to work it open after I ate. I also had tinnitus (ringing in the ear), could not open wide and some hearing loss. These problems went away with Dr. Bixby’s TMJ orthotic therapy.

I now find that I can go out and enjoy things, where before I was always concentrating on my pain and discomfort. I definitely recommend the fixed orthotic, because it looks and feels natural and it forces me to wear it all of the time. Therefore my problems went away fast and I now am enjoying life. Soon Dr. Bixby will be fixing the cosmetic problems that I had, and taking care of my bite permanently.

For many months I was in excruciating jaw pains, headaches and neck pain. I visited many ENTs and dentists. Unfortunately, no doctor was able to help me with my pains and frustrations.
